Same team. Same mission. A new name.

Today we’re excited to share that New Compass Solutions is now Asula Geospatial. Our new name reflects who we’ve become: a geospatial software company building cloud tools for the people who collect, extract, and deliver 3D data.

This is a big moment for our team. We’ve spent years building, testing, and refining software that solves real problems in LiDAR extraction and visualization. Now we have a name that says so.

Why a new name

We chose Asula Geospatial so the name says what we do. New Compass served us well while we were getting started. As our platforms matured and our client base grew, we wanted a name that put us clearly in the geospatial market.

Asula Geospatial does that. It tells mapping professionals, engineers, and infrastructure owners right away that we speak their language and build for their work. It also gives our software its own identity, separate from the field services that first inspired it.

Built by practitioners, for practitioners

Asula started inside Teleqo Tech, a mobile mapping services company. As Teleqo took on larger and more complex LiDAR extraction projects, the tools on the market couldn’t keep up. Processing was tied to expensive workstations, teams struggled to collaborate, and sharing results with clients took too many steps.

We didn’t accept those limits, so we built our own tools. Then we stress-tested them on real production work for more than a year before offering them to anyone else.

That history still shapes how we work. Our engineers sit next to active project managers and extractors. They understand data dictionaries, extraction accuracy, and what a client needs to see at delivery. We are extraction experts building for extraction experts.

What’s changing, and what isn’t

The name on the door is new. The team, the technology, and our commitment to clients stay the same. Our platforms now carry the Asula name: • Asula Extract (AEX) is our cloud platform for large-scale LiDAR feature extraction, auditing, and delivery. It handles fast uploads of large datasets, custom data dictionaries, team-scale project management with built-in QC, and cloud-rendered 3D extraction. You don’t need a high-end workstation. • Asula Visualize (AVI) is our browser-based GIS platform. Teams and clients can explore LiDAR, imagery, and GIS layers together and share projects without installing anything.

Together they give you one team, one cloud, and one workflow, from raw point cloud to client-ready deliverable.

For current clients, nothing changes in how you work with us. Your contacts, contracts, and projects carry forward as they are. You’ll just see the Asula name and our new home at asula.io.

What’s next

We build for survey companies, engineering firms, transportation agencies, and infrastructure owners. Our goal is to make advanced mapping tools available to organizations of every size, not just the largest enterprises. Cloud delivery removes the hardware costs and setup that kept these capabilities out of reach for many teams.

With the Asula name, we’re ready to grow. We’ll keep expanding what our platforms can do, working with new partners, and helping more teams move from data collection to decisions faster.

Thank you to our clients, partners, and team for getting us here. We can’t wait to show you what’s next. See Asula in action. Book a demo or get in touch with our team
